Backing Local Business

Backing Local Business

Local businesses keep Beverley and Holderness working. They provide jobs, train young people, support charities and keep our high streets alive.

When local businesses struggle, the whole community feels it. Prices rise, jobs disappear and town centres decline.

That is why backing local business is one of Graham’s priorities. Keeping costs down for employers helps keep prices down for families and protects local jobs.

Across Beverley and Holderness, Graham regularly meets local employers to hear directly about the pressures they face. From hospitality and farming to small shops and family firms, businesses are dealing with rising costs, business rates pressure and growing regulation.

Graham believes government should back the people who create jobs and keep communities thriving.

That means:

• Listening to local employers and taking their concerns to Westminster
• Pushing for fairer taxes and lower costs for small businesses
• Championing local firms that provide jobs and training
• Supporting hospitality, retail and rural businesses that are vital to the local economy

Local businesses are not just employers. They are part of the fabric of our towns and villages.

Backing them helps keep prices down, protects jobs and strengthens our communities.

Backing businesses to keep prices down and jobs local.

If you run a business in Beverley and Holderness, Graham wants to hear from you about the challenges you face and what government should do to support local employers.
