The great outdoors is essential to our wellbeing and to the pride we feel in our communities, and it is always concerning to see wildlife under pressure.
I want to see evidence that the Government is taking these issues seriously, with measurable outcomes rather than just words. I am also pressing for support for farmers, who are the frontline stewards of our countryside. Nature cannot thrive if family farms are under threat from tax changes or burdensome regulations, and I will continue to argue that practical support for those managing the land is essential to restoring wildlife and green spaces.
Protecting and improving the natural environment is a matter of fairness, common sense, and practical action, and I will continue to push for sensible legislation in all areas relating to this.
