Responding to today’s article in The Hull Daily Mail stating that East Riding Clinical Commissioning Group is considering closing the Minor Injuries Units in Hornsea and Withernsea owing to financial pressures facing the CCG, Graham Stuart MP said: “The health needs of coastal communities should be understood and accommodated – not jettisoned in the face of financial pressures. Towns like Hornsea and Withernsea have elderly populations, high levels of disability and huge influxes of visitors in the summer.
