Graham Stuart MP is asking residents of Beverley and Holderness to nominate their favourite curry house.
The winner of the competition will be entered into the Tiffin Cup, a nationwide curry competition which has been running since 2005.
With many brilliant curry houses in Beverley and Holderness, Graham is keen to let residents have their say about which Curry House in Beverley and Holderness is their favourite.
Graham will accept nominations on his website, before giving residents the chance to vote on their favourites, which will be entered into the national competition – which includes a cook-off in the House of Commons next year judged by a panel led by Ainsley Harriott MBE.
With hospitality businesses struggling, Mr Stuart hopes to highlight brilliant businesses in the community – and has written to the restaurants to encourage them to get their regulars to nominate, and vote for them.
Nominations open today (18th November 2022) and will close on 1st December.
Voting will take place between 1st December and 16th December, with the winner entered into the Tiffin Cup, with a regional final and a grand final in Westminster.
Commenting, Graham Stuart MP said, “Like so many people in Beverley and Holderness, I love a curry. And we’re lucky to have so many brilliant ones in our towns and villages.
“I hope that people get behind my search to find the best curry in Beverley and Holderness – and I can’t wait to find out which restaurant serves Beverley and Holderness’ favourite curry”.
