Graham Stuart, Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, is asking residents to vote for their favourite independent shop in Beverley and Holderness following 438 nominations for sixty five shops from across the constituency, showing how vibrant is the area’s independent shop sector.

Some of the most nominated shops are Grace Eva Cake Shop in Beverley, which sells spectacular cakes; The Townhouse in Hornsea which sells an astonishing range of gifts; Hedon’s Made It Studio which showcases local traders; and Bella Moda in Withernsea, selling beautiful clothes.

Now, Graham is asking residents to vote on their favourites at www.grahamstuart.com/bestof, divided into the towns of the constituency.

Voting will take place over the next two weeks, with results announced on 22nd December.

Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart said: “Independent local businesses aren’t just shops; they’re the beating heart of our communities.

“These drivers of local growth don’t just provide jobs; they make our towns and villages the vibrant places they are. I’m proud to visit the towns and villages in my constituency and come across beautiful, quirky, fascinating independently owned shops and businesses everywhere I go, and I want to celebrate them.

“I’m so thrilled there’s been such a great response to my Independent Shops competition. It shows just how much we care about our communities, as well we should.”
