Graham will be in Leconfield on Friday 6th March with Northern Powergrid after dozens of residents reported repeated power cuts in the village.

Northern Powergrid will bring a response van so residents can speak directly with engineers and explain the problems they have experienced.

So far sixty-eight residents in Leconfield have reported power cut problems to Graham, describing outages that have disrupted homes, work and daily life.

Residents told Graham the interruptions have caused real frustration, with some losing heating and internet access while others raised concerns about vulnerable neighbours being left without power.

After hearing from residents, Graham contacted Northern Powergrid and pressed the company to bring engineers to the village so residents could raise the problems directly and get answers.

Graham will be with Northern Powergrid engineers in Leconfield on Friday from 11.15am to 12 noon.

Residents who have experienced problems are encouraged to come along and speak directly to engineers about what has been happening.

Graham has previously pushed Northern Powergrid to respond directly to communities experiencing power problems across Holderness.

Earlier this year he brought the company to Easington after repeated outages affecting residents there, and has continued pressing for improvements to the power supply across South East Holderness including Skeffling and Kilnsea.

Graham said: “Sixty-eight people in Leconfield have already contacted me about repeated power cuts.

“When power goes off again and again it disrupts homes, work and everyday life. People quite rightly expect a reliable service.

“That is why I asked Northern Powergrid to come to Leconfield and hear directly from residents.

“I will be there with them on Friday 6th March. If you have been affected, please come along and speak to us so we can get this sorted.”

Don’t risk Hull Trains: protecting our direct link to London

Thursday, 26 March, 2026
Hull and East Yorkshire were a forgotten part of the rail network. Hull Trains put that right, connecting the great port city of Hull, and indeed Beverley, directly to London. It is also one of the most popular train services in the whole country.I am pleased to hear what the Minister has said.
