Whether you are a business or local resident, local MP Graham Stuart believes it is vital that you are able to pay in cash easily and get the face-to-face support you need to manage your money. After months of meetings and updates with Cash Access UK and councillors, he is pleased that access to cash is secured in Hornsea and Withernsea.

In Withernsea, Lloyds has confirmed their branch will remain open until March 2024. This will ensure banking services will continue in Withernsea until the brand-new Banking Hub opens. Following a successful meeting with LINK and the South East Holderness Councillors about their plans for the Hub, Graham is receiving monthly updates to ensure the needs of everyone in Withernsea are always at the forefront of this project.

Just last week, the location of the new Banking Hub in Hornsea was confirmed as Unit 2 in Newbegin, where Poundland used to be. This will be the first Banking Hub in Beverley and Holderness and a vital resource for many people in the town; offering convenient access to cash and in-person banking services when it opens this year. Graham continues to work to protect your right to choose whether you bank on the internet or in-person.

Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart said: “Whether you’re a small business or a pensioner, easy access to a bank is more than a nice to have, its vital.

“That’s why I have been working with Cash Access UK and Councillors Lyn Healing, Claire Holmes and Sean McMaster to secure access to cash across Beverley and Holderness and I’m really pleased it is now enshrined in law.”
