Beverley Ambulance Station, located just outside Molescroft, is making significant strides to reduce ambulance wait times and increase staffing levels in a drive to improve patient care across East Yorkshire.

Graham Stuart MP visited the station to meet with staff, tour the facilities, and hear first-hand about the improvements being made to enhance response times and patient experience.

Thanks to rota changes and operational adjustments, the number of available ambulance staff has increased from 48 to 60 - a 25% rise in crew capacity.

As part of a wider effort to improve patient outcomes, Yorkshire Ambulance Service is also working closely with local A&E departments to speed up the transfer of patients. By deploying additional staff onto wards, paramedics are freed up more quickly to return to frontline duties.

Graham Stuart MP has long supported Yorkshire Ambulance Service throughout his 20 years representing Beverley and Holderness. His CADEY (Community Access Defibrillators for East Yorkshire) campaign - run in collaboration with the service - has already led to the installation of 13 defibrillators in rural areas across the constituency.

Speaking after the visit, Graham Stuart MP said: “We’re fortunate to have such a dedicated ambulance service in East Yorkshire, but I was truly impressed by what I saw during my recent visit to Beverley Ambulance Station.

“The team is constantly thinking about how to increase capacity and ensure patients receive the care they need. The fact that the station has boosted its staffing by a quarter while also improving working conditions for paramedics shows the scale of their commitment.”
