In an inspection report, released today by the Care Quality Commission, Beverley’s East Riding Community Hospital has been judged as having met the required standard in the three areas where failings were identified in the summer, leading to the closure of beds on one of the wards.
Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, Graham Stuart said, “This new inspection report is very healthy with positive comments from staff about the additional training they have received and the new ward inspection rotas. Patients have commented on the excellent level of care they have received at the hospital.
“I have every confidence that the issues have been resolved and that the hospital and its staff will go from strength to strength.”
“It is important to us all that we get first class health care when we need it and I commend the CQC and the hospital for acting swiftly and for the work they have done over the past three months to turn this situation around to bring lasting positive changes at the Hospital.”
