Graham Stuart, Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, hosted his first Pizza and Politics Night at Pizza Express in Beverley.
Graham is keen to get more young people interested in politics, which is why he launched Pizza and Politics with Graham Stuart. For just £10, young people aged 16-35 years old from across the constituency enjoyed a fun evening of pizza and had a casual chat with their local MP.
They spoke about the Government’s plan to boost the economy, what Graham’s day-to-day work as an MP involves and had a heated discussion about whether Carlos Alcaraz could defy the odds to win Wimbledon. Some of them were interested in becoming more involved in politics across Beverley and Holderness and Graham gave them advice based on his experience about how they can make a difference in our community.
Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart said: “It was fantastic to meet young people from across Beverley and Holderness for delicious pizza and a great chat. They are the future and I am sure they will all make a positive difference to our area. This was just the first of these events and I hope to meet more young people at the next one.”
