Graham Stuart MP has launched a survey to find the level of broadband and mobile service around Beverley and Holderness.
Graham has long been committed to fighting for residents’ right to improved funding in the East Riding – and wants to hear how broadband and mobile service is faring in Beverley and Holderness.
East Riding Council has been stellar in facilitating Superfast broadband and Project Gigabit – with over 70% takeup of Superfast broadband supplied by the Council – while almost 100% of homes have access to high-speed networking.
Graham will use this information to inform his conversations with Councillors, council officers and providers and ensure that any blackspots are known to providers.
Commenting, Graham Stuart MP said, “Superfast broadband is the plumbing of the twenty-first century.
“It’s one of the silent successes of the Government that almost three quarters of households in Beverley and Holderness now receive superfast broadband – and I’ve been fighting for this since I was first elected in 2005.
“Residents tell me that there are mobile and broadband blackspots around Beverley and Holderness – and that simply isn’t on these days.
“I want to work with providers to make sure everyone has the data access we need.”
