Graham Stuart, MP for Beverley and Holderness, is pleased that farmers across Beverley and Holderness have been rewarded £270,260 to upgrade their farming equipment from the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund.
Announced in Autumn 2021, the Farming Equipment and Investment Fund helps farmers boost farm productivity, reduce waste and cost input costs while increasing environmental sustainability and improving slurry management.
This is part of the Government’s commitment to invest £2.4 billion per year in farming across the United Kingdom, which includes grants worth £168 million in 2023 alone.
Commenting, Graham said, “Feeding our nation is no small task, but farmers across Beverley and Holderness do sterling work to make sure our fridges are full of delicious, fresh produce.
“That’s why I’m delighted that the Government is fulfilling its manifesto pledge to level up farming in our country by giving farmers the tools they need to build a modern, efficient, environmental farming industry here in Beverley and Holderness.”
