Graham Stuart, Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, met Valerie Waby, the CEO of the Linkage Community Trust, to learn more about the Trust’s plans for the coming years.
The Linkage Community Trust is a charitable organisation which works with people with a range of learning disabilities to help them reach their full potential. Recent developments in the services they provide include their 16-25 day education offer in Beverley, and the continued expansion of their care services.
During his visit, Graham met Valerie at the Trust’s Beverley site to see first hand the important work the charity does to provide a high standard of care, education and employment services for people with learning disabilities.
Following Graham’s visit to the Beverley site, Valerie Waby commented: "It was a pleasure to meet with Graham following the pandemic. Meetings with local MPs such as Graham have always been incredibly informative for our organisation, especially as we return to normality post-COVID. It was a pleasure to show him the exciting plans we have for the charity over the coming years.”
After his visit Graham said, “It was great to meet Valerie and the wonderful staff at the Beverley site of the Linkage Community Trust. Their hard work and compassion plays such an important role in the lives of the young individuals who benefit from their services. I look forward to seeing the progress of their different projects in the years to come.”
