Graham Stuart, Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, enjoyed meeting residents in the brand-new Chapter House Care Home in Beverley.
Chapter House Care Home opened in Keldgate, Beverley in November 2022 to provide residential, nursing and dementia care. It has 80 rooms and a range of facilities including en-suite bathrooms, a cinema and a private roof terrace. They also have a private landscaped garden which gives everyone an opportunity to enjoy a coffee or spend some time gardening.
During his visit Graham was given a tour by the Home Manager, Robert Hall, who told him that their main priority was developing a team of kind and dedicated staff to give everyone the highest level of care. Graham had several chats with residents and was pleased to hear that they were happy with the support and facilities the Home provides.
He also spoke to Roberto, one of the Home’s three Wellbeing and Activities Assistants, who told Graham about his work designing new and innovative ways to improve both the residents’ physical and mental wellbeing.
Robert Hall, Manager of Chapter House Care Home, said: "It was lovely to meet with Graham and to be able to show him around Chapter House. I know that the residents really enjoyed chatting to Graham and felt he was very friendly and approachable."
Following his visit, Graham Stuart MP commented: “It is a fact of life that all of us will get older and some of us will rely on residential care. At Chapter House in Beverley being kind and compassionate to its residents is their number one priority. It was great to spend time chatting to everyone there and to see first-hand the superb care they are receiving.”
